Waiting for a call back from my son. Last one before he boards a plane heading to Afghanistan for one year deployment. I know in my head this is what he's has signed up for, this is what he has been trained to do..but somehow that hasn't hit my heart yet. He is leaving an 8 soon to be 9 year old little girl, and a 5 year old boy who thinks his daddy is going to the toy store. Worried about when Jake realizes that daddy will be gone a little longer than that.
Looking forward to March when he will return for 2 week r&r.
Wishing we would just bring them all home and protect and defend the good ole USA before it is too late.
